CEDA will provide funding for your project, if all of the following are satisfactorily met:

• Your project is viable, sustainable, adds value to the economy.
• You are not a habitual defaulter.
• There is market for your products or services.

Small scale loans

Eligibility	Botswana citizens 18 years or more and Botswana citizen wholly owned businesses/companies.
Loan Amount	BWP500 up to BWP150,000
Eligible Items to be Financed	Plant and equipment, including factory buildings, stock and working capital
Percentage Financing	Up to 100% of the cost of eligible items
Loan Period	Up to 5 years, excluding grace period
Interest Rate	5% per annum.

Medium scale loans

Eligibility	Botswana citizens 18 years or more and Botswana citizen wholly owned businesses/companies.
Loan Amount	BWP150,001 up to BWP2,000,000
Eligible Items to be Financed	Plant and equipment, including factory buildings, stock and working capital
Percentage Financing	Up to 100% of the cost of eligible items
Loan Period	Up to 7 years, excluding grace period
Interest Rate	7.5% per annum.

Credit guarantee scheme

Eligibility	Botswana citizens 18 years or more and Botswana citizen wholly owned businesses/companies.
Guarantee Amount	BWP500 up to BWP2,000,000
Eligible Items to be Guaranteed	Bonds, contracts, stock and working capital
Percentage Financing	Up to 100% of the cost of eligible items
Loan Period	Up to 7 years, excluding grace period
Arrangement Fee	2.5% per annum.

Venture capital fund

Eligibility	Botswana citizens 18 years or more and Botswana citizen wholly owned businesses/companies. Joints ventures between citizens and non-citizens
Loan Amount	BWP500,000 up to BWP30,000,000
Eligible Items to be Financed	Plant and equipment, including factory buildings, stock and working capital
Interest Rate	Prime Rate + 5% per annum.
Loan Period	Up to 15 years, excluding grace period
