CEDA CEO Mr. Thabo Thamane accepts AADFI award for Top 20 DFI in Africa and Best Rated DFI in Botswana

Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA) Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Thabo Thamane accepted the award in Kigali Rwanda, after the Agency was placed among The Best Performing African DFI's in the Association of African Development Finance (AADFI). CEDA received an 'A' rating in the Third Peer Review of the Association of African Development Finance Institutions where other institutions submitted their assessments for consideration.

The AADFI rating system is designed to assist Development Finance Institutions who have membership in AADFI to rate themselves in the the three areas of Governance Guidances, Financial Prudential Standards and Operational Guidelines. Among the DFI's that had submitted assessments in the three ratings criteria, CEDA scored an aggregate of 84%  and was ranked an aggregate of 'A'. This award that CEDA has produced the best results in its Corporate Governance, Financial Prudence and Operational Standards, proving that CEDA has implemented a robust strategy in  being a leading development financier.

To receive the award, the CEDA Chief Executive Officer Mr Thabo Thamane attended the ceremony in Rwanda  with the best rated CEDA employee, Mr Lesego Mohlohlwa, who is a Business Support Officer, based in Francistown . Mr Thamane said the results would not have been possible without the commitment of staff in ensuring that the organisation lives the strategy. "Such kinds of ratings are not easily achieved and it is great joy for me and the entire management team, Board and Shareholder", he added.
