CEDA PARTICIPATES IN THE ECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGE LAUNCH IN MACHANENG

 

As part of its outreach initiatives to sensitize Batswana on its mandate, products and services the Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA) attended the official launch of the Economic Stimulus Package (ESP) in Machaneng Village on the 13th of February 2016.

Officially launching the ESP, President Khama said the ESP was a way to boost the country’s economic growth through increased government spending in identified sectors and to also diversify the economy and accelerate employment creation.

Projects under Agriculture, Tourism, infrastructure development, lands and housing , health care, transport  and communication, education will be given priority.

The President went on to say that since the announcement of the ESP programmes , there has already been work that has been done by several ministries to get the groundwork  ready in order to get the intended results.

Members of the community came in large numbers to visit the stall to enquire about The Agency’s products and services and also how they would be able to access the capital to finance their desired projects and ventures.
