IMPORTANT UPDATE- OPERATIONS IN GREATER GABORONE ZONE

On Friday 12th June 2020, his Excellency the President of the Republic of Botswana, Dr Eric Keabetswe Masisi declared a lock-down for the Greater Gaborone Zone with effect from 12th June 2020 until further notice.

Within the Greater Gaborone Zone, the Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA) has branches in three locations namely Gaborone, Molepolole and Kanye.

To this end, the Agency would like to inform our valued stakeholders that CEDA, through the guidance of the Emergency Powers (COVID-19) regulations, has taken a position to temporarily scale down the number of employees across the three aforementioned branches, leaving the Agency to operate at a 25% capacity within the Greater Gaborone Zone.

DISINFECTION OF THE BRANCHES IN THE GREATER GABORONE ZONE

As part of the precautionary measures the Agency has put in place to guard against any Covid- 19 related infections, all three branches in the Greater Gaborone Zone were disinfected between Saturday 13th June 2020 and Sunday 14th June 2020. The offices are open for operations from today, Monday 15th June 2020.

All CEDA branches across the various zones still abide by the measures that were put in place from commencement of business after the nationwide lock-down of:

• the use of thermometers for screening employees & customers,
• maintenance of visitor and staff registration
• continuous disinfection of office equipment and commonly touched areas,
• access to hand sanitizer and wash stations,
• use of masks and/or face shields at all times,
• overhauling of workstations to ensure one to two metre social distancing and
• new limits on the number of people allowed to gather in rooms, conference rooms and communal areas at one time.

LOAN APPLICATIONS

The Agency would like to further inform its stakeholders that under the current lock-down period, the three branches will ONLY be receiving:
